This is so true in every facet of life... Literally it can be applied to anything. My coworker(i work in a kitchen) she is blessed with natural ability to just... Know what goes with what. Her food is incredible. And she learns so fast. Im honestly jealous how much she has absorbed in a year. But she goes home and does NOTHING to get better. Meanwhile, i bought 5 pounds of onions and potatoes at her age to sharpen my knife skills and perfected my french onion soup and made everything from potato croquettes to fondant potatoes. I invited friends over to eat after working 10 hours to work another 3 so they could try my food. I read books about the art of plating. I worked so hard to get to the level i am. She always asks "how did you get to this level??. Just seems like your soups and dish platings are one step above" In this, there is a lesson. God gives all. Some of us have been blessed with the talent... But some have been blessed with drive and the pursuit of perfection. Because its hard. Praises to the most high.

Even as a natural born American i take lessons from this.❤

I say yes. I always told myself as a kid, why buy something bigger just to continuously pay higher bills: electric/gas, someone to clean and realistically I'm not running into each room of a big home just to get use of it. As for vehicles еюthey break and need maintenance every so often so high maintenance just to feel happy for a little while until you have to spend more on the next thing to make you happy? Nah, I'm good. Now as an adult, I'm able to purchase things. I can afford a home but would rather still live in an apartment, I know my neighbors, I don't have to pay for anything to be fixed and I have a truck, so if it floods I'm good. I live why below my means and I'm freakn happy knowing I'm content, period. I look at people with less than my trying to keep up with the mansions and nice cars and it's embarrassing and funny at the same time. Definitely those two things are WAY overrated.
